Icebreaker in Action

About 6 years ago a co-worker took me to an Icebreaker Merino sale.  I had never heard of it before, but my co-worker knew that I cycled to work every day and lead an active lifestyle.  I bought a few pieces and went home excited to try it out.  I wore it to bike to work the next day, and the day after that, and every day after that.  I was hooked.  It was comfortable, versatile in all weather conditions and it didn’t smell…at all. I’ve since worn Icebreaker for all my activities – boot camp, running, hiking, cycling, snowshoeing, travelling, you name it. I wore Icebreaker to my first half-ironman and even though my legs didn’t want to work any more, my feet were in shambles, and my hair was atrocious, my Icebreaker apparel held up.  It kept my temperature controlled through the rain, wind and sun, it wicked moisture away from my skin, and most surprising, did not smell!  After over 6 hours of non-stop activity – that is an amazing feat. My Icebreaker was also with me when I completed my first 2 back-to-back GranFondo’s – over 5 hours of riding at each Fondo! Over the years I’ve been slowly replacing all of my other ‘technical’ tops for Icebreaker so when Rackets & Runners started to carry the product line, I was ecstatic.  I still have those first few pieces I bought and they work and look as good as the day I got them.  If you have not had the pleasure of an Icebreaker wool garment, invest in one today, you will not be disappointed.
